We began our journey by offering The Answer® Cleaning Line developed by Dr. William R. Jackson as a viable solution to the hazordous toxic cleaners that have put families the environment and workers at great risk.
The cleaners used in the workplace and our homes are supposed to make our lives safer. However, over 100 chemicals commonly found in homes alone, and cleaning products in general, have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer, psychological abnormalities, skin reactions, headaches, depression, joint pain, chronic fatigue, chest pains, dizziness, loss of sleep, asthma, nervous disorders, respiratory problems, and the list goes on and on!
To make matters worse the dangers associated with chemical cleaners are often concealed due to our lax labeling laws. People tend to believe that simply because a product is manufactured by a major corporation that the product is safe, which is not always the case. It is estimated that housewives have a 55% higher risk of getting cancer than do women working outside the home This is quite an alarming statistic when considering that on average most housewives do the cleaning. How much more at risk are those who clean for a living!
One out of three cleaning products contains ingredients known to cause human health or environmental problems. A study conducted by the Janitorial Products Pollution Prevention Project found that the average janitor uses 48 pounds of hazardous chemicals per year. A review of workers compensation data from Washington State found that 6 out of 100 janitors are injured by chemicals every year, the most common injuries are serious burns to the eyes or skin.
Many cleaning products contain respiratory irritants and even short-term exposure to these cleaning agents can trigger asthmatic attacks and Janitorial staffs are even more at risk than other building occupants. A study published in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine concluded that janitorial workers experience the highest rates of occupational asthma, nearly twice the rate that affects other workers.
Exposure to toxic cleaners is especially a concern when it comes to children since children are more vulnerable to toxic exposure than adults. Children breathe more frequently and more deeply than adults, which makes them more susceptible to airborne toxins. Children also have greater physical contact with their environment because they are more likely to sit on floors, engage in repeated hand-to-mouth activities, and place their heads on surfaces. The effects of toxic chemicals can have long-term impact on children’s developing bodies. The relationship between chemical exposure and childhood learning disabilities, neurological problems and cancer are currently being researched. However, it could be decades before we understand the reasons for the exponential increase in childhood neurological disorders so we need to take action now!

Because of its great ability to clean and disinfect without posing threats to a person's health or the environment, “Electrolyzed” cleaning technology is being used in countries like Japan and Russia in everything from meat packing plants to hospitals.
